We decided to fulfill his desire and to continue the work. However, we found that most of the manuscripts submitted to him from asian contributors remained partially edited and thus were not ready for publication. Also, as nearly 5 year have passed sice actual plan started, we were afraid that the descriptions in the manuscripts would soon become obsolete, unless they were updated and printed soon.

To speed up publication, we avoided over editing and decided to get the articles published in their present form. Readers will notice some lack of uniformity in the forms and styles of physical and chemical units and their abbreviations, such as molecular weight, temperature etc.
