UGM PRESS JOINED "PESTA BUKU BANDUNG", APRIL 2019

UGM Press as academic publisher joined Pesta Buku Bandung for the 3rd times which held on 4th-10th of April 2019 in Gedung Landmark Jalan Braga No. 129 Bandung.

The head of IKAPI West Java Province, on Monday (1st of April 2019) said that the theme of this event is "Panggung Demokreasi Urang Bandung", in collaboration with Provincial Government of West Province and supported by City Government, attended by approximately 100 book publishers and UGM Press became the one and only book publisher who came from outside West Java Province.

"The Pesta Buku Bandung lasts for 12 hours, from 09.00 till.d. 21.00 WIB, and visitors are not charged for entry fees or free entry. The book publishers who attended will also give special discounts, especially from UGM Press," said Mahpudi.

UGM Press manager, Dr. I Wayan Mustika, S.T., M.Eng. said that the presence of UGM Press at Pesta Buku Bandung this year was to provide high-quality books that were affordable in price.

"Reflecting from last year, we are very happy because the interest of the people of West Java in the UGM Press book is still high so that the presence of UGM Press in this event is still needed," said Wayan.

The Head of Badan Penerbit dan Publikasi (BPP) UGM, Widodo S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., welcomed UGM Press to be able to participate again in the Bandung Book Festival as a support for literacy activists and lovers, and is one of the ways to introduce UGM Press and books published by UGM Press to students and the wider community.

"The presence of UGM Press at the Pesta Buku Bandung can produce a good output in achieving the book marketing performance target through its participation in events held by IKAPI," Widodo said
