ITS PRESS CONDUCTS BECHMARKING STUDY TO UGM PRESS

UGM Press was visited by ITS Press under the coordination of Badan Pengembangan dan Pengelola Usaha (BPPU) ITS Surabaya.  The delegation came to UGM Press in the aim of a bencmarking study of the development of supporting business unit management with other PTNBH, like UGM Press, in managing the business of publishing and printing support.

The benchmarking study visit was led by the Head of UPT ITS Press, Bambang Tristiyono, S.T., M.Sc., and the Head of BPPU ITS Administration, Sugeng Pranoto, S.H.

UGM Press Manager, Dr. I Wayan Mustika appreciated the visit of ITS Press. According to him, universities must be ready to face challenges and opportunities in managing printing and publishing businesses in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era.

Dr. Wayan emphasized the importance of managing the printing and publishing management flow that has been carried out by UGM Press in developing academic publishers to be able to produce high quality opus. "UGM Press seeks to produce quality academic books and become a reference, both on a national and international scale. This year, UGM Press developed the UGM Press Publishing Information System (Sistem Informasi Penerbitan UGM Press (SIGAP)) to facilitate the management of publishing and printing, " Thursday (7/25/2019).

"SIGAP can provide great benefits for the entire academic community, especially authors and UGM Press internals to be able to know the progress of the manuscript and others," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Head of UPT ITS Press, Bambang Tristiyono, S.T., conveyed about the aim of this benchmarking study is related to the flow of printing and publishing management that has been carried out by UGM Press as one of the highest quality academic publishers in Indonesia.
